New York Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction
Entering the series, this was slated to be one of the best matchups of round one, and it has not disappointed yet. New York has been led by Jalen Brunson and Julis Randle, who both had all-star caliber seasons. Let’s be honest love them or hate them, playoff basketball is better when the Knicks are good, and you have to expect the Garden to be an electric atmosphere tonight.
The Cavs, meanwhile, have been led by star guard Donovan Mitchell who was a starter in the all-star game this season. Cleveland made a splash when they added Mitchell in a trade in the off-season, and the move has not disappointed. Fellow guard Darius Garland was the star in game two when he poured in a game-high thirty-two points. Cleveland looked like a completely different team in game two, and they are hopeful that they can turn in a similar kind of performance tonight and steal an all-important game three on the road. The Knicks enter tonight’s game as a short two-point favorite.
I am going to put my money on the home team tonight and trust the Knicks to get this win at home. Like I said earlier in this article, you have to expect the Garden to be rocking, and this could be the best home-court advantage for any team in the playoffs. Cleveland really struggled to play away from home this season as they turned in a sub .500 record at 20-21 on the road. If they struggled on the road during the regular season, I would be surprised if they come in and win this game tonight.
I also expect the role players for the Knicks to play much better than they have so far in this series. Immanuel Quickley is one guy to keep an eye on for tonight’s game. He has scored just fifteen points so far this series, and I would be surprised if he doesn’t turn things around with a strong performance at home tonight. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
