Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction

Boston took care of business at home, winning both games one and two by double digits, but they could not pull off a road win on Friday night. Atlanta is well aware that this game is a must-win once again. If the Celtics come into Atlanta tonight and steal game four, they will likely close them out in five at home. The Hawks were led by a strong effort from all-star guard Trae Young in game three. Young ended the game with a team-high thirty-two points in the winning effort. If the Hawks want to pull off another upset today, they will need a similar kind of performance from Young.

Boston, meanwhile, struggled to get stops and looked lost on the defensive side of the basketball. This is typically one of the best defenses in basketball, but they had no answers for the Hawks' offense on Friday night as they allowed Atalanta to shoot fifty-six percent from the floor and forty-four percent from three. Despite the poor showing this weekend, the Celtics come into tonight’s game as a six-point road favorite. 

I will be laying the points with the road team tonight. We had our money on the Hawks in game three, but this is a Celtics line all the way to me. If the line was 4./4.5 again, I would be on the Hawks, but from a spread standpoint, getting this many points on the road means it’s a great spot for Boston. Atlanta will not be able to sustain their hot shooting today, and I expect a focused effort from Boston on the defensive end tonight. The Hawks nearly shot sixty percent in game three, and it came down to the wire. Atlanta has not shown me all series that they can slow down this Boston offense, and if they struggle to shoot tonight like I think they will, Boston could blow them out tonight.
