Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Game 5 Prediction
This could be the final game of the season for Memphis tonight if they are not able to pull off the win. The Grizzlies entered this series as the dogs despite being the higher-seeded team, and the odds have been proven right thru the first four games of this series.
Los Angeles has dominated this series, including going into Memphis in game one and pulling off a crucial win. In Los Angeles, Game 3 was all Lakers as they tired a postseason record for the largest first-quarter lead in NBA playoff history.
Game 4 was one that the Grizzlies will be kicking themselves for losing. Memphis led the game by seven points with five minutes to go, but a late surge from the Lakers forced overtime. In overtime, it was all Lakers, and they were able to do enough to pull off the win.
LeBron James has played with a different level of energy the last two games since Dillon Brooks called him out, and it has been a joy to watch so far. Ja Morant appears to be healthy enough to play in tonight’s game. Oddly enough, the only game that the Grizzlies did win this series was in the absence of Morant. Memphis comes into this game tonight as a four-point favorite with their season on the line.
The pick that we are going to lock in tonight will be the Memphis Grizzlies on the first-half spread. Memphis has been a great first-half team this season, going 48-29-1 ATS in the first half this year.
