New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat Game 2 Prediction
New York came out strong in Game 1, but Miami answered in the second half with a massive run in the third quarter, and they never looked back. Miami was once again led by superstar Jimmy Butler who has been the best player in the playoffs so far. However, Butler was injured late in the game, and his status for tonight is questionable. The Heat have announced that he is a game-time decision for tonight.
New York, meanwhile, has multiple players questionable tonight, including Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle. Brunson is probable, and I fully expect him to play tonight, but Randle will likely be a game-time decision as well. Randle missed Game 1, and it was clear that the Knicks could have used his scoring, especially in the second half of the game. New York enters play tonight as a somewhat heavy six-and-a-half point favorite coming off their poor performance on Sunday.
I am going to give us an electric bet tonight and put my money on the Knicks -2 in the first quarter. This will be a sweaty 12 minutes, but I feel as if this is a Knicks line all the way. New York came out strong in Game 1 and took care of business early, and I fully expect a similar result tonight.
The Knicks need to play this game with an extra sense of urgency after losing Game 1, and establishing themselves early will be key. New York ranked seventh ATS this year in the first quarter and first overall in the first half. Let’s stay hot tonight.
