Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Game 4 Prediction

Philly started off the series strong with a Game 1 win in Boston without MVP Joel Embiid. James Harden turned in one of his best performances in a Philly uniform, but since then, he has struggled mightily. Harden was held to just 12 points in Game 2, shooting 2-14 from the floor, and in three, he shot just 3-14 ending the game with 16 points. If Philly wants to win this game tonight and even the series, Harden will have to perform at a much higher level.

The one positive in the loss for the 76ers on Friday night was the performance of Joel Embiid. The big man looked like he was back in MVP form, ending the game with a team-high 30 points and 13 rebounds. Embiid also logged 39 minutes which is an encouraging sign.

Jayson Tatum came out red-hot for the Celtics and set the tone. Tatum scored just seven points in Game 2, so you had to expect him to bounce back and turn in a strong performance, and he did not disappoint. Boston was outstanding for the most part on the defensive end, limiting the 76ers to shooting just 39.7 percent from the floor. It seemed as if every time Philly went on a run, the Celtics had an answer. Philly comes into this game today as a two-point dog.

I am going to stay off the spread for this play, but I did find a prop for us that I love. I am going to take James Harden over 20.5 points. This feels like the perfect buy-low spot on Harden. Harden showed his ability to score the basketball in Game 1 and has obviously regressed since then, but the volume has been there. Harden ended the last game with 16 points despite shooting abysmal from the floor. If he shoots slightly better today, I believe he clears this number with relative ease. Let’s stay hot on the hardwood and cash in!
