Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction: Can Jaylen Brown Step Up in Game 5?

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics will meet up from TD Garden on Tuesday night for a highly anticipated fifth game of this series. This series had a lot of hype surrounding it, and it has delivered thus far.

Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 5 Prediction

The 76ers came into Boston shorthanded in Game 1 and knocked off the Celtics, sparked by a big-time performance from former MVP James Harden. Games 2 and 3 were all Boston, and Game 4 will live in the minds of the Philly faithful for a long time.

The 76ers led the game most of the way, but they went ice cold in the fourth quarter, which allowed Boston to regain the lead. The 76ers trailed by five points with less than two minutes to go, and it appeared as if the Sixers were going to go down 3-1 in the series. PJ Tucker made the play of the game as he ripped down an offensive rebound and turned it into an and-one opportunity. Tucker would hit the free throw, and eventually, the game would find its way to overtime.

Again, Philly looked like they were done late when James Harden hit the shot of his career in a 76er uniform to give Philly the lead. Boston had the last chance but did not get off a game-winning three as the clock had expired. That brings us to Game 5 tonight, and you have to expect an electronic atmosphere in Boston. The Celtics come into this game as a heavy 7.5-point favorite.

I am staying off the side here for this article and giving everyone a prop that I love. We will be turning to the services of Jaylen Brown and taking his over 24.5 points tonight. Brown came out red hot in game four, but his volume dropped significantly after the first quarter. Brown would end the game with 22 points while shooting an efficient 10-16 from the floor. Brown seemed annoyed when asked about his performance after the game and even stated that he may have to demand the ball more down the stretch. I expect him to get more opportunities tonight back at home. Brown will play most of this game, and as long as the volume is there, he should clear this number with relative ease.
