Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics Game 6 Prediction
Philly came into this series seen as a heavy underdog, but if they can pull off a win tonight, they will knock off the Celtics and lock up home court for the Eastern Conference Finals. The 76ers were +7.5 point underdogs going into Boston for Game 5. Philly came out strong, shooting the ball well from three, and they really never looked back. MVP Joel Embiid was in MVP form as he delivered a game-high 33 points. Tyrese Maxey turned in his best performance of the series, dropping 30 points and hitting some timely shots to stall a few Celtics runs.
The role players did not perform well for the Celtics in Game 5, and they want to come into Philly tonight and steal Game 6; they will need guys to step up in support of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum has started slow in the last two games, being limited in the first quarter, but he has turned things up in the second half of games. Jaylen Brown, meanwhile, was solid in Game 5 but really struggled from the free throw line and got into early foul trouble, which limited his minutes in the first half of the game. Boston comes into this game as a two-and-a-half-point favorite with their season on the line.
I am going to take a prop tonight that I expect to cash in with ease. We will be taking James Harden over 20.5 points. We are two for two, taking Harden's overs in this series, and after a somewhat quiet performance in Game 5, I expect Harden to be much more aggressive tonight. Harden shot just eight times in Game 5 and still ended the game with 17 points.
You would have to think that Harden will put up more than eight shots tonight in this pivotal game six. Lastly, the usage of Harden has been extremely high in this series, and there is no doubt that the minutes will be there tonight. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
