The Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics will clash from TD Garden on Friday night for a highly anticipated second game of this series. Game 1 went to the Heat as Jimmy Butler led a furious second-half comeback.

Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat Game 2 Prediction

Boston went ice cold shooting the ball in the second half, including super star Jayson Tatum who did not make a field goal in the second half of Game 1. Boston will need Tatum to be much better tonight, and they will need to be much better on the defensive side of the basketball as a team. The Celtics come into play as a heavy nine-point favorite tonight.

Miami, meanwhile, is playing with house money tonight. The Heat have had one heck of a story so far, knocking off the Milwaukee Bucks in round one and the New York Knicks in round two. Miami was a heavy dog to win both of those series, and they entered this series at +400 to advance to the Finals.

After a win on Wednesday, the odds have shifted all the way down to +150, and with a win today, you would have to imagine that we would see a minus sign next to the name of the Heat. 

I am going to back Boston with the points tonight. The Celtics have shown their ability to bounce back all season long, specifically here in the playoffs. I see a big-time performance tonight from their stars, Tatum and Brown, who did not play great in Game 1. Trends support this play heavily, as it is rare to see a favorite go down 2-0 on their home floor. Let’s cash in tonight!
