Denver has the opportunity to sweep tonight and stun this Lakers team. Denver came into the series as the favorite to win, but not many people thought a sweep would be the case. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets Game 4 Prediction
The Lakers have been led by a strong effort from star big man Anthony Davis in this series, but some of the role players have really struggled for the Lakers, including starting guard D’Angelo Russell who has been brutal in these first three games. Another reason that Los Angeles is down 3-0 is due to the fact that Denver is just playing extremely good basketball at the moment.
Nikola Jokic has been in MVP form, and Jamal Murray has been dynamite in this series. Murray poured in north of 30 points in the first half in game three to pace the Nuggets, and Jokic stepped up, scoring late to seal the deal for Denver. No team in the history of the NBA has ever come back from down 3-0 in a series, and the Lakers will have an opportunity to rewrite the history books starting with a home win tonight. Los Angeles enters play as a three-point favorite.
I am going to take the Lakers on the money line tonight. Los Angeles is 2-1 ATS in this series, and this feels like a spot tonight where they play desperate and force a Game 5. LeBron James-led teams typically play with heart, and I would be shocked if we saw the Lakers roll over and die tonight. LA has been a great home team this postseason losing just one game on their home floor. Lastly, let’s be honest here the NBA does not want a sweep. Los Angeles should have the whistle in their favor tonight and in a tight game that could make a significant impact.
