Denver Nuggets vs. Miami Heat Game 1 Prediction
Miami has been the Cinderella story of the playoffs, and now they have the opportunity to make history and win the Finals as a No. 8 seed. Miami has been led by their star Jimmy Butler who is turning in one of the best postseason runs in recent memory, but he has had a ton of help from the Miami role players.
One player in particular that has really stepped things up is former Nevada Wolfpack standout Caleb Martin. Martin enjoyed a lot of success in college, but he was not drafted and has come a long way since being waived by the Charlotte Hornets. How he has played in the playoffs has likely earned him a large paycheck from someone come the off-season.
Meanwhile, Denver has been the best team in the West all season. Nikola Jokic is the group's star, but this is a deep Denver roster coached by one of the best in the game in the form of Michael Malone. The Nuggets come into this series as a heavy favorite as they are -425 on DraftKings Sportsbook to win the series.
I am going to trust the Nuggets at home tonight. This team has been great to us all playoffs and season long. This is a Nuggets line all the way in my eyes, as we have seen this line continue to jump over the last few days. Teams have struggled to play in Denver all season long, and coming off of an emotional series, this is an extremely difficult spot for the Heat to come in and keep this game close tonight.
The Nuggets went 34-7 at home during the regular season, and we all know how good they have been here in the playoffs at home, as they are yet to lose in Denver. Let’s fade the public dog and cash in tonight!
