ANALYSIS

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Detroit Pistons Prediction: Can Tyrese Maxey Carry the Sixers to Road Victory?

This one is a little juicy but I like it. Everyone looking at this game will be infatuated with Embiid props. Understandably so, the guy is averaging nearly 32 points a game following his MVP season. Last year he had games of 36 and 22 point again Detroit. The game with 36 was against Nerlens Noel at starting center, the game with 22 was against Duren.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Detroit Pistons Prediction

I’m not saying Embiid will be locked up tonight, but I don’t see him going for the scoring record, and he will need help. Maxey is easily the co-star with the departure of Harden, and he is not afraid to shoot. Last game against Boston he shot 27 times, absolutely insane volume. Maxey profiles well against Detroit this year.

The Pistons have been getting torched by point guards all year. Damian Lilliard with 34, Steph Curry with 34, McCollum with 33, SGA with 32, just to name a few. Maxey will put up points in his minutes, this bet comes down to can he do it despite a potential blowout? I think yes.

Maxey is averaging 25.4 points a game, needing just 23 is great value. Pistons will likely try to double Embiid at times with Duren and Stewart, and I’m sure Bagley will attempt to cover him as well. Maxey will be put in positions to take advantage. Rooting against my Pistons is never fun, but we bet with our mind and not our heart, let's roll!
