We've got plenty of days to overcome that in 2024!
Here are a few bets to consider for tonight's six-game NBA slate.
January 2 Best NBA Player Props

Jaylen Brown shot 53.8% from the field in December. He also averaged 24.4 points per game in the month.
That would be enough to help us hit his Over tonight.
Brown is facing a below-average Thunder defense against shooting guards. He's also hit this line in seven of his last ten and four of his previous five. Beyond that, Brown has had prior success against the Thunder dating back to last year when it comes to points scored against Oklahoma City.
Brown will get to the foul line about three times a game and has shot over 68% from the field in the last two games.

De'Aaron Fox leads the Kings in points. But the assists will come, too.
The Hornets are 18th in the NBA in assists allowed to point guards. Meanwhile, Fox has hit this line in 60% of games this season.
He's been so consistent that he's also hit this line in 60% of his last 20, 60% of his previous 10, and 60% in his last five games.
But -113 is implied odds that he'll hit this 53% of the time. I'll back Fox's over against the Hornets.

There's value in this Celtics-Thunder matchup.
Lu Dort has earned 3.9 rebounds per game this season. But I like him to earn at least four tonight.
Dort is facing a Boston defense that is 28th in rebounds allowed to small forwards. Dort has also hit this line in 57% of games and in seven of his last ten. He's even on a two-game streak with four rebounds.
After an impactful Sunday against Brooklyn, Dort's minutes won't change. He'll need four rebounds in about 30 minutes. With a great matchup against Boston, I'm in.

In December, Jrue Holiday added 2.2 threes per game and attempted 4.5 threes per night. He shot over 48% from deep and is coming off a 3-for-5 performance against the Raptors on Friday.
The Thunder are one of the worst at defending against the three versus a point guard. They actually ranked 28th in the NBA.
With Holiday draining at least two threes in seven of his last ten games and four of his previous five, I like him to nail at least two threes tonight.
