NBA Player Prop Picks: Can Victor Wembanyama, Jamal Murray Start Hot on Thursday Night?

Getting crafty here. Let's target some first quarter lines as we expect some NBA stars to dominate early. We're combining Victor Wembanyama against the Bucks with Jamal Murray against the Warriors.

NBA Player Prop Picks

We have never taken an alt first quarter market, but this has value. On DraftKings in order to find this, you go to to “player points” and then scroll over all the way to the right for “X+ Points - 1st Quarter”. You will see alt lines for for first quarter scoring, and we took two today in both games.

First off we have the birthday boy Wemby. I like just attacking the first quarter of this game, especially because of the double digit spread. Wemby can hit this in one shot as the Bucks allow the sixth-most 3PM to Centers in the NBA. Wemby shoots about five a game, so it’s very possible he can cash with just making an early three. Wemby has 3+ points in the first quarter in 18 of his last 20 games.

So Wemby has a recent hit rate of 90% so chances are that we will go into the late game with life. All we need from Jamal Murray is two early buckets. Murray faces a Warriors team who allow the 6th most points to point guards. Murray has hit this prop in 10 of his last 12 games. He should see 9+ minutes, and that should be enough time for him to find the net twice. Let's roll!

NBA Player Prop Parlay Picks (-116) (Bet $116 to Collect $216)

  • Victor Wembanyama 3+ 1Q PTS
  • Jamal Murray 4+ 1Q PTS
