This will probably not be too popular today. This is not the best matchup on paper for Joel Embiid and people will likely be scared off looking at how New York defends big men on the season. Upon further evaluation those numbers are skewed and with Mitchell Robinson being sidelined this Knicks team is much more prone to allowing points to bigs.

New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

New York has allowed guys like Anthony Davis, Myles Turner and Karl-Anthony Towns all torch them when Isaiah Hartenstein is starting at Center. What do all of these guys have in common? They are capable shooters. Joel Embiid falls into that same category. He can shoot the three ball if you sag off too much on his drives.

Embiid is just a different beast and is matchup proof. No one in the NBA can guard him. This game has a six point spread and the new look Knicks have been playing teams close. Embiid is in another MVP race with rival Nikola Jokic and Joker just hit a miraculous game winning three last night against Golden State. This is Embiid’s chance to steal the spotlight from that and turn up tonight. Let's hope the big man goes bezerk tonight and let's roll!
