5 minDetroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings Prediction: Can Jaden Ivey Step Up Against Kings on Road?
The Detroit Pistons travel to Sacramento tonight to take on the Kings. The Pistons are the worst team in the NBA as they sit in last place with a record of 6–43. They have lost three games in a row and are now 13.5-point underdogs against the Kings tonight in Sacramento. The Kings, meanwhile, are having a pretty good season and sit in fifth place in the Western Conference with a record of 29–20. They are looking to bounce back after losing their last game, and have an excellent spot to do so tonight at home against the worst team in the NBA. What should we expect in this game?

Detroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings Prediction
The Pistons have had a tumultuous season, but it has not gotten any better with their injury report. Star point guard Cade Cunningham was injured in early January and missed most of the month with a knee injury. He came back last week against the Wizards and has played four games now for the Pistons, but he is a game-time decision tonight with the nagging knee injury. Also joining him on the injury report tonight is small forward Bojan Bogdanovic, who is questionable tonight with a left calf injury. Bogdanovich has been excellent since returning to the lineup in December, and the absence of his sharpshooting abilities will be missed on the pistons if he cannot go tonight, as he is also a game-time decision. That leaves guard Jaden Ivey. Jaden Ivey is third on the team with 14.7 points per game, and has been a bright spot for the Pistons in their dark season. Ivey is used as both a point guard and shooting guard, which makes him stand out with the loss of Cunningham, as he can lead an offense but also shoot well. Jaden Ivey and Jalen Duren are the only two healthy starters for the Pistons right now, so the scoring will be on their shoulders tonight with or without Cade Cunningham and Bojan Bogdanovic, as they will not be 100% even if they do play. Jaden Ivey has a low point total of 16.5 tonight. That is up from the open of 14.5 earlier today. Ivey's season average is at 14.7 points per game, but his usage rate has ticked up heavily without Cade Cunningham. Ivey played a majority of January without Cunningham, and his scoring average was 17.1 points per game. Jaden Ivey has played nine games this season without Cade Cunningham, and he has hit at least 17 points in eight of those nine games. The only game he went under was against the Hornets on January 24th, when he played 22 minutes due to getting banged up in that game. Of course, Cade Cunningham could still play tonight, but even if he does, I like Ivey to go over. While it is definitely more of a lock if Cunningham does not play, Ivey is still a predominant shooter in this offense. and the Kings play at a fast pace and are average in the NBA defensively. Ivey has played the Kings three times in his career and had 24, 5, and 22 points in those three games, respectively. Cade Cunningham also played in all three of those games. I expect Jaden Ivey to have a big role in this game tonight and hit at least 17 points again, as that has been his average since the start of January.
