Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction: Can Andrew Wiggins Make an Impact Tonight?
Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction: Can Andrew Wiggins Make an Impact Tonight?
The Warriors are coming off back-to-back wins, as they beat the Sixers in a blowout last night 127 –104 on the road. They visit a Pacers team that has also won back-to-back games and is coming off an impressive win over the Houston Rockets. The Warriors are trying to climb back to .500 on the season as they sit with a record of 23–25 after their two wins in their last two games. If they want to continue to win, they will need players to keep stepping up, starting with Andrew Wiggins.

Golden State Warriors vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction
Andrew Wiggins has been struggling this year, to put it bluntly. Wiggins is averaging his lowest points per game so far in his 10-year career with just 12.4 points per game. The former All-Star has really struggled shooting the ball this season and his minutes have been cut down because of it. However, he averaged 28.4 minutes per game in January and has played decent minutes so far in February. Wiggins has now hit over 20 points in three of his last five games and may be seeing a little bit of progression, looking like the former All-Star he is. The number one overall pick from the 2014 draft also has a great matchup against the Pacers tonight.
The Pacers have been struggling against small forwards this year, as they gave up the fourth-most points to small forwards and the third-most rebounds to small forwards. The line for Wiggins points+rebounds tonight is just 16.5. This is a line that Wiggins has nearly hit on points alone in six of his last 10 games. The Pacers also have a very porous defense, as they rank fifth-worst in the NBA in defense efficiency. The Pacers also play at an insane pace, ranking second in the NBA in pace of play.
Given that Wiggins is coming off a good performance last night of 21 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes, I like him to stay hot tonight and hit this line of just 16.5. Considering he hit 31 points+rebounds in just 23 minutes last night, he should be able to clear this line on the back end of the back-to-back after not playing exhaustive minutes against the Sixers last night due to the blowout. The Pacers will for sure put the pace in this game that will be conducive towards offensive overs for the Warriors.
