Another juicy bet, but we’ve been hot enough that hopefully people will tail regardless. Mann has a completely new role on this Hornets team, so looking at his yearly stats and hit rate is no good. All that matters is purely his last two games.
In these last two games, we have seen Mann play 10 minutes and 9 minutes in the opening quarter. In those two games, he has three points and five points. What’s even more encouraging is that he has at least four shot attempts in both games, and among those eight shots has been several 3-point attempts. Just one made three would cash us here.
Atlanta is a great opponent to target as they have been getting shredded by guards lately, and Mann has been given the keys to this offense temporarily. If Mann keeps this usage up, I really like his odds to have 3 points in the opening quarter. The fact that this can hit one shot means we’re never out of it until he’s on the bench. If he plays nine minutes I’m sure he'll get his looks, let's roll!
