This one is sneaky, but I like it. Bagley is a talented scorer when he’s engaged and he sees a favorable matchup here against Denver. With Gafford out of the picture, Bagley should have plenty of opportunity to show Washington what he’s capable of. Bagley as starter in Washington has played five games, in those five games he is averaging 4.6 1st quarter points per opening quarter.

Nikola Jokic is a very gifted basketball player but if he had one weakness it would certainly be his defense. Bagley against Denver has games of 14 and 18 points this year. His lone game as a Wizard against Denver, he came off the bench. Now he’s starting, and should see lots of opportunities to find us two buckets.
Washington is a 15-point underdog, so it’s very realistic to think this is a blowout and he doesn’t see late minutes. The opening quarter market is a nice pivot in these situations. We just need two buckets, I think Bagley has it in him. Let's roll!
