The Detroit Pistons kick off life after the All-Star break with a road meeting against the Indiana Pacers tonight. Entering the second half of the season, the Pistons are sitting in last place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 8–46. They lost their last three games heading into the All-Star break and will look to try and build over the rest of course this season looking ahead to next year.
On the other side, the Pacers are sitting in a decent position in the playoff race right now, as they sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 31–25. They won their last game heading into the All Star break and will look to keep trying and improve their seeding position as we head down the second half of the season. What should we expect in tonight‘s game?

DETROIT PISTONS VS. INDIANA PACERS PREDICTION
The player I will be all over tonight is Pistons shooting guard Jaden Ivey. Ivey is in his second season with the Pistons, and for most of the season leading up to the All Star break he had his production lowered from last year. He is averaging 15.3 points this year as opposed to 16.3 last year while playing 27.7 minutes on average per game this year compared to 31.1 last year. However, he really heated up in January and especially into February. He averaged 17.1 points per game in January and 21.3 in February. I think he can continue to build on his strong performances heading into the later stretch of the season given the Piston's situation. The Pistons traded away Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic to the New York Knicks. With those two gone, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, and Jaden Ivey are the focal points of this offense. On top of that, Cunningham is probable for this game as he is still managing a left knee injury that had him out for much of January. While Jaden Ivey has been on and off the bench this season, he has pretty much solidified a starting role in this offense now. As a starter, his numbers jump quite a bit from his season average. He is averaging 17.4 points, 4.33 rebounds, and 4.3 assists as a starter. he is averaging 26 points+rebounds+assists as a starter this season, and his line tonight is 24.5. Ivey has hit 25 points+rebounds+assists in five of his last eight games, while he has had a few duds against good defenses. However, the Pacers do not have a good defense. The Pacers rank 26th in defensive efficiency in the NBA this season. They also have played at an incredibly fast pace, ranking second in the NBA in pace of play this year. They have also struggled heavily against opposing shooting guards, as they have allowed 24 points per game to opposing shooting guards, which is the second-most in the NBA. All this adds up to a very advantageous matchup for Jaden Ivey tonight, and I believe he can clear 25+ points+rebounds+assists easily tonight.
