Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction: Can Jaden Ivey Put Up Points Against the Pacers?
The Detroit Pistons and second year guard Jaden Ivey travel to Indiana tonight to take on the Pacers for their first game after the All Star break. Ivey who was born in South Bend, Indiana, and spent two seasons at Purdue will have some extra motivation playing against his hometown team.

Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction
Over his last five games, Ivey has seen an uptick in shooting volume averaging 17.4 FGA per game during that span. He’s attempted 20+ field goals in three of those five games as well. With Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic no longer in Detroit after being moved at the trade deadline, there’s reason to think that kind of shot volume will remain.
The matchup against the Pacers is a prime spot for scoring. Indy allows the third most points to their opponents and like to play fast ranking second in pace of play which means more possessions and more importantly opportunities for Ivey to score.
One more crucial piece of information to mention is Ivey’s on going rivalry with Bennedict Mathurin. The two were selected back to back in the 2022 NBA Draft with Mathurin going to the Pacers. There was some competitive trash talk between the two during the Rising Stars game where Mathurin told Ivey that he couldn’t guard him. I’m expecting Ivey to come out and be aggressive tonight which I way I’m taking the over 17.5 on Ivey's points prop.
