The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, and will hope for a strong start from their star guard. Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander get off to the races early against the Rockets? The Professor provides his top prop pick in Rockets vs. Thunder.

Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction: Will Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Ball Out Early?

The Oklahoma City Thunder host the Houston Rockets as they face off for the second time in three days. On Sunday, the Thunder were able to secure a 13-point victory in Houston, and tonight they will play on their home floor.

Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot 3-for-7 from the field, and scored 11 first quarter points on Sunday. He has scored 10+ first quarter points in 15 of his last 20 games, which is the prop I’m targeting for him tonight.

At home, SGA has been extremely consistent scoring in the first quarter with 10+ points in 17 of his last 20 home games, and a 75% hit rate on the season. He plays the entire quarter, looks to take over when the second unit comes in, and benefits from getting to the line with his team usually in the bonus at the end of the first. Whenever I see this prop listed at 9.5, I always give it consideration, and I expect SGA to do what he does and score early and often tonight against the Houston Rockets.
