McCollum is a guy who Gambling Twitter seems to despise. Whenever he is in big spots that makes everyone back him, he sells. With that being said, I am putting my faith in the man tonight and like his chances of scoring 20 or more.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction
McCollum has went against Oklahoma City twice this year, and is averaging 20.5 points against them. Oklahoma City allows the 2nd most made threes to point guards, and McCollum takes 54% of his shots from deep. CJ is fresh off of games with 30 and 23 points. With Ingram out, I like McCollum to continue to have high usage.
This game projects to be close one with a 1.5-point spread, so McCollum should see big minutes. Someone has to score for New Orleans, and hopefully Chet's length will limit Zion enough to keep the ball moving on offense. McCollum has been shooting nearly 20 times a game lately, if that volume continues he should find himself with 20 of more points. Let's roll!
