Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls Prediction
The player I’m targeting in this game is Hawks forward DeAndre Hunter. Hunter has found a nice role on this Hawks team in his fifth year in the NBA, all with the Hawks. He has had the highest scoring average of his career this season, scoring 15.6 points per game. At the same time, he has played the lowest minutes per game of his career this season.
While Hunter was a starter for the first four seasons, he split time starting and coming in off the bench this season. With recent injuries, Hunter will most certainly start tonight with Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu still injured. The way I am attacking Hunter‘s props tonight is by taking his rebounds. The Bulls allow just the eighth least amount of rebounds to centers each game, which will be Clint Capela in this matchup. However, the Bulls allow the third-most rebounds to power forwards, which will be De'Andre Hunter tonight.
Hunter has only averaged four rebounds per game this season, but he should play a healthy amount of minutes tonight with Johnson still injured. He has averaged 33 minutes per game in April, which is well above his season average so far. He has hit this line in three of seven games in April and six of his last 11 games overall. The Bull's defense gives up the 19th-most defensive rebounds per game in the NBA, and with Hunter's playing time increased, he should be able to grab at least five.
