Thursday’s Best +EV Betting Picks and Predictions
1. Caitlin Clark Over 5.5 Rebounds (+105) Click here to see which Sportsbook has the best odds
- AI Projection: 6.2
- Cover: 63%
- Hit Rate: 4/7
- +EV: 29%
The Indiana Fever will welcome the Seattle Storm on Thursday night for a rematch of last week's one possession thriller. The Storm emerged victorious in that one, but the Fever will look for revenge tonight at home. Caitlin Clark has been stellar as expected for Indiana, just turning in her first 30 point game earlier this week. But what many haven't seen is her efforts on the glass, which have been routinely impressive. She grabbed seven boards in this first meeting last week, and has gone over the 5.5 number in half of her games so far this year. At plus money, this prop gets boosted to 29% expected value as Clark tries to carry the load for the Fever once again tonight.
2. Derrick Jones Jr. Over 13.5 Pts + Reb + Ast (-105) Click here to see which Sportsbook has the best odds
- AI Projection: 15.2
- Cover: 72%
- Hit Rate: 11/15
- +EV: 40%
The Dallas Mavericks will hope to close out the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road in Game 5. Derrick Jones Jr. has been a major piece of the puzzle for a Mavs team that is one game away from the NBA Finals. He is turning in over 33 minutes per game in this series, and has been hot from three-point land in the last two games. With Dereck Lively still questionable for tonight, Jones will continue to feast on opportunities whether the Dallas center plays or not. He grabbed five boards and four assists in Game 4, and will only continue to light up the stat sheet as the Mavs try to eliminate the T-Wolves tonight. Our AI model projects Jones Jr. at 15.2 PRA, a sizable bump above his low-priced 13.5 line. He has a 72% prediction to go over, and a 40% positive EV in this spot.
3. Kyle Anderson Over 11.5 Pts + Reb + Ast (-120) Click here to see which Sportsbook has the best odds
- AI Projection: 13.4
- Cover: 71%
- Inc mins in elimination game
- +EV: 30%
The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to stay alive in Game 5 at home, and will lean on their role players for support. Kyle Anderson has been a guy that has stepped up in this series, after turning in lackluster efforts in the second round against the Nuggets. He has more than doubled his minutes in the Western Conference Finals, reaching a peak of 25 minutes in the last game. He landed on 10 PRA in that one, missing the 11.5 number for the only time in the series on a poor shooting night. Anderson will bounce back here and turn in strong rebound + assist numbers to support this wager with all of the time he spends on the court now. Our AI projection has Anderson at 13.4 total PRA tonight, well over his listed 11.5. That's good for a 71% expected cover and a +EV of 30%. He's gone over in three of the four games in this series, and will look to continue his contributions here in a win or go home Game 5.
4. Dearica Hamby Over 10.5 Rebounds (-125) Click here to see which Sportsbook has the best odds
- AI Projection: 11.1
- Cover: 56%
- Hit Rate: 4/6
- +EV: 8%
The Los Angeles Sparks will battle the Chicago Sky on Thursday night for their third contest of the week. Dearica Hamby has been carrying the Sparks on her back without much help, and that will likely continue again tonight. She has cleared this number in three of the last four games and all but two times this season so far. The misses only came by one or two rebounds, for example landing on 10 in her last game. She is a ball hawk down low, and will look to take advantage of the rookie Angel Reese tonight. The Sky are allowing the most rebounds per game to opponents at 37.4 RPG, and Hamby will feast on many of those.
5. Alexis Lafreniere Under 2.5 Shots on Goal (-130) Click here to see which Sportsbook has the best odds
- AI Projection: 1.85
- Cover: 76%
- Hit Rate: 8/15
- +EV: 34%
The New York Rangers will head back up north for Game 5 with the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. Alexis Lafreniere has been incredible for the Rangers as they fight to keep their Stanley Cup hopes alive. He has three goals in the last two games, and 13 total points in these playoffs. However, he is not a shooting machine like some of his other teammates, with many of his shots on goal coming on breakaway chances or unsettled situations. The Florida Panthers performed much better defensively in a Game 4 OT victory, and they will look to further limit the chances from Lafreniere tonight. He will regress in this matchup as other stars on the Rangers like Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider will try to carry more of the offensive load. Our metrics project Lafrienere at 1.85 shots on goal, well under his line of 2.5. That leads to a positive EV of 34% and a 76% cover projection on that large gap. Look for the Panthers to try and shut Laf down and the focus will shift elsewhere on offense in Game 5.
