NBA Playoffs Best Bets: April 30th

Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Prediction: Golden State Warriors ML (+146) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Warriors vs. Rockets odds

The Houston Rockets have played very well defensively in this series. The Rockets have limited the Warriors to 110.1 points per 100 possessions, while giving up just a 52.4% effective field goal percentage.

Furthermore, the Rockets have held the Warriors to only 25.7% of offensive rebounds and rank fourth in the NBA Playoffs in defensive free-throw rate.

The Warriors aren't going to dominate the offensive glass. They're also not even shooting at a high percentage. However, Golden State's defense is doing enough right now.

The Warriors have held the Rockets to 110.1 points per 100 possessions while holding Houston to a 50.6% effective field goal percentage. In addition, the Warriors have committed nearly 16% more turnovers per game against the Rockets. That's been the difference in this series.

Ultimately, the Rockets usually dominate the offensive glass. However, it's hard to dominate the offensive glass when you're turning the ball over 16% of the time.

In addition, the Rockets are getting inconsistent production from some of their main contributors. Alperen Sengun has been dominant, but Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet are two players who have had some big offensive games but also many mediocre ones.

I'll back the Warriors at +146 to take care of business on the road.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction: Minnesota Timberwolves ML (+194) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best T-Wolves vs. Lakers odds

The Minnesota Timberwolves have scored 120.8 points per 100 possessions in this series. That's the second-highest rate in the NBA Playoffs so far. Ultimately, the Timberwolves have gained 34.2% of offensive rebounds and have turned the ball over 12.1% of the time.

Plus, the Timberwolves have also shot a 52.9% effective field goal percentage, while earning a 19.7 free throw rate. All season long, the Lakers allowed very few free throws. But in this series, the Timberwolves have had their way.

On the other hand, Minnesota has forced 16.1% of turnovers against the Lakers. The Timberwolves have also allowed just 25.1% of offensive rebounds.

The Lakers have a knack for getting to the foul line and have shot a 54.1% effective field goal percentage. But overall, the Timberwolves have been much more balanced on both ends of the floor. Clearly, the Timberwolves also have more depth, too. JJ Reddick decided to play his starters the entire second half in Los Angeles' most recent loss to the Timberwolves.

By doing that, Luka Doncic played 46 minutes and added one rebound and two assists. He was gassed and didn't give much on the defensive end.

Give me the Timberwolves at +194.

If we can get one upset tonight, we'll be in the black.
