2025 NBA Futures Prediction: Will The Los Angeles Clippers Struggle Without Paul George in 2024-25?

It's never too early to look ahead to NBA. Let's take a look at the Los Angeles Clippers and their win total after a shaky offseason for the franchise.

This may come as a shock. Los Angeles won 51 games last year, so taking the under one year later on a number that is 10 wins below might seem crazy. With that being said, I absolutely love this prop and think there are so many avenues for this to hit.

2025 NBA Futures Prediction

Paul George is gone. Los Angeles is 39-46 in games that Paul George missed in his time there, last year they went 3-5 in his absence. Additionally, they lost Westbrook and only signed Derrick Jones, Kevin Porter Jr. and Nic Batum as new faces. Definitely not the most inspiring offseason.

Their path to finishing the year above .500 lands in the laps of Kawhi Leonard and James Harden. They are 34 and 33 years old, and both have issues staying on the floor. Kawhi played 68 games last year which was shockingly good for him but I don’t envision that happening two years in a row. With this team clearly not being a title contention I could see both stars load managing and just collecting a check.

Los Angeles has a brutal future in terms of young talent and draft capital. One of those two could ask for a trade at the deadline if the team isn’t up to par with their standards. So many other teams in the league are getting better, and the Clippers are trending in the wrong direction. I think going 42-40 or better would take a lot to go right, and my money is happily on them crashing and burning. Let's roll!
