The Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks meet in the City of Brotherly Love on Wednesday Night in what is a matchup between two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season.

Philly had a busy offseason, signing all-star Paul George. The addition of George makes the 76ers a legitimate Championship Contender and should take a lot of pressure off of Joel Embiid and Tyreese Maxey.

Unfortunately for the Philly faithful, they won't be able to see George in action tonight as he's out with an injury, as is Embiid.

Bucks vs. 76ers odds have moved quite a bit in the last few days as injury news has rolled in. Originally, the odds had the Bucks as a one-point favorite. In some places, it was even a pick 'em. However, with the news coming out that both Joel Embiid and Paul George will miss tonight's game, the spread has moved to the Bucks being favored by a full three points in South Philadelphia on Wednesday.

The last five years have been extremely disappointing for the 76ers.

After years of being the worst team in the NBA, the Sixers have reached the postseason in seven consecutive seasons. In that span, the 76ers have never reached the conference finals. Last season, Philadelphia was bounced in the first round by the New York Knicks.

Entering the season, the Sixers have the fifth-best odds of winning the NBA Championship (+1200). Philly will also be without former MVP Joel Embiid, who led the team with 34.7 points per game.

Milwaukee posted a 49-33 record a season ago. The season was disappointing for the Bucks, who entered the season as one of the favorites to win the title.

The Bucks lost in the first round of the postseason against the Indiana Pacers.This Bucks team has been bounced from the playoffs back-to-back years in round one. From 2019 to 2022, the Bucks reached the Eastern Conference finals every year.

Milwaukee won the NBA Finals in the 2020-2021 season.

Doc Rivers's team comes into the season with the eighth most odds to win the finals (+1600).

Former MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 30.4 points and 11.5 rebounds last year. Damian Lillard averaged 24.3 points per game, his second-lowest average since 2015.
