Nuggets vs. 76ers Same-Game Parlay: Can Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr. Go Off On Friday Night?

We have a medium sized 7 game NBA slate today and I am back with another same-game parlay that I really like for it. I am going to be looking at the matchup between the 76ers and Nuggets in Philly tonight. I have found 3 legs for today's parlay that I love and will break down each leg with my reasoning as to why I've added it to the parlay below.

Nuggets vs. 76ers Same-Game Parlay

Leg 1: Nikola Jokic 10+ 1st Quarter Points

The 1st leg of the parlay is going to be Nikola Jokic to get us 10 or more 1st Quarter Points. Jokic typically plays the entire 1st quarter, and I'd expect today to be no different (barring injury or foul trouble). The matchup for him is also great, as Philly has really struggled with their paint and rim defense, ranking 3rd worst in points allowed in the restricted area over their last 10 games. With Joel Embiid out, the 76ers don't have anyone that I think can slow the Joker down. Jokic has 11+ 1st quarter points in four of his last five games with 12+ minutes, and went for 11 1st quarter points in the prior matchup with Philly. Additionally, the Nuggets have lost three in a row, and Jokic usually becomes more of a scorer when the Nuggets are coming off losses and need a win. I love his spot today!

Leg 2: Michael Porter Jr. 22+ PRAs

Leg number two for our parlay is for Michael Porter Jr. to get us over 21.5 points + rebounds + assists. MPJ should have a solid matchup here. MPJ's size allows him to rise up and shoot over a lot of smaller defenders, and I don't think Philly has anyone that will be able to get good contest on him. MPJ is over this line in 83% of games this season with Jokic healthy, and just went for 26 PRAs in this same matchup a few weeks ago. He has played well vs. Philly, hitting 25 or more PRAs in his last three matchups. I'm betting on a bounce back performance from him here today, and think the line for him is just way too low.

Leg 3: Michael Porter Jr. 3+ 1st Quarter Points

I am going to be adding onto what I just touched on and taking Michael Porter Jr. to also get us at least three points in the 1st Quarter. MPJ usually gets solid volume in the 1st quarter, and given the matchup, I expect him to get 3-5 shots today. He's had 4+ 1st quarter points in his last five matchups with the 76ers. He has at least three points in the 1st quarter in 24 of his last 25 games with at least 7 minutes played. I am expecting him to play 7+ minutes today, so I don't expect him to have an issue getting over this mark.
