The Nuggets-Clippers series shifts back to Los Angeles after five back-and-forth first-round games.
Most of this series has been tightly-contested, but Denver turned things up a notch in a 131-115 Game 5 smackdown. Jamal Murray found his stroke in a big way, as he went 8-of-14 from long range in a 43-point performance.
The Nuggets will need him to rekindle some of that scoring to secure a Game 6 win. Russell Westbrook can't be expected to drop 21 points off the bench again, and the Clippers surely will not go out easy.
Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac have played well this series, and one would also expect the Clippers to come out as the more desperate team.
Will Denver be able to match that desperation?

Nuggets vs. Clippers Prediction
In the first four games of the series, it seemed like the Clippers had a much larger margin of error. LA controlled Game 2 in Denver, smoked the Nuggets in Game 3, while Denver's two wins were by a combined four points.
Then... Game 5 happened. As mentioned earlier, Playoff Murray returned, Westbrook was the added threat, and Nikola Jokic facilitated it all with a triple-double.
And there's still more meat left on the bone for the Nuggets because Jokic only scored 13 points on an underwhelming 4-of-13 from the floor. If he's just a bit more efficient, then LA is in a world of hurt.
The reemergence of Playoff Jamal Murray is already bad for the Clippers, then the reemergence of Playoff James Harden is even worse. He legitimately played well in the first three games of this series, efficiently scoring 32, 18, and 22 points in each game and limiting his turnovers. That production came to a screeching halt in the last two games, though, and his 11-point showing in Game 5 left a lot to be desired.
We now enter Game 6, and it feels like Denver has all the momentum. But the oddsmakers disagree, as LA is a six-point home favorite on Thursday night.
I understand the Clippers as short favorites. They are at home with their backs against the wall, after all.
However, I do not see how they are six-point favorites. That just feels like too much, especially facing a Nuggets team with the best player in the series.
Jokic was masterful in Game 4 with 35 points (14-of-25), 21 rebounds and eight assists, and I think he can come close to that level of production in a close-out scenario. Add in a confident Murray, and Denver will be tough to handle.
