Celtics vs. Knicks Game 3 Prediction
Imagine if Derrick White has an efficient game shooting the ball? Through the first two games of the series, like most of his teammates, White hasn’t shot the ball well and still gone over the 21.5 points+rebounds prop. The Celtics have shot 25-for-100 from beyond the arc.
In Game 1, the Celtics guard shot 6-for-18 from the field, including 5-for-16 from three. On Wednesday, White shot 6-for-17 from the field and 3 of 11 from three. After shooting 44.2% from the field and 38.3% from three in the regular season, White is at 34.3% from the field and 29.6% from three in the first two games of the series. So, why take the over?
White had 19 points and 11 rebounds in Game 1 and 20 points and nine rebounds in the last game. He has come close to going over the prop on points alone despite the poor shooting. As long as the volume remains, White will likely hit more shots. While Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are going to shoot often, White has been third on the team in field goal attempts in both games and is often getting open looks.
White is going to play big minutes, especially in a critical game for Boston. He played 44 minutes in the overtime game with 39 in regulation and 40 minutes in the last game. In the last five games against the Knicks, White is averaging 17.8 points and eight rebounds. White is averaging 15 rebounds chances through the first two games and averaging 10 rebounds. White has gone over this line in five of seven playoff games.
