Thunder vs. Nuggets Prediction: Can Jamal Murray Save Nuggets in Game 6?
After falling behind in the series to Denver, 2-1, Oklahoma City has won two straight games and with a win at Denver Thursday night can clinch a spot in the Western Conference finals. It has been a competitive series with four games coming down to the final minutes.
The Thunder outscored the Nuggets, 34-19, in the fourth quarter to win in Game 5, 112-105. Oklahoma City was able to overcome a great performance from Nikola Jokic, who had 44 points, 15 rebounds and five assists. Shai Gilegeous-Alexander led the way for the Thunder with 31 points and five other players scored at least 12 points. If the Thunder win, they will face Minnesota in the Conference Finals.

Thunder vs. Nuggets Game 3 Prediction
Jamal Murray has a penchant for putting up epic performances with the Nuggets facing elimination. In 11 games in this scenario, Murray is averaging 27.8 points, 5.2 assists and five rebounds in 40.7 minutes per game. He has games of 35, 40, 42 and 50 points.
Murray is averaging 21.4 points in the series against the Thunder and shooting 39.5% from the field. The Thunder defense has made it tough on Denver, but Murray has scored 27 and 28 points in two of the last three games.
For Murray to go over his prop of 21.5 points, he will need minutes and volume. As long as the game stays competitive, Murray will be on the floor most of the game. Outside of the 149-106 blowout in Game 2, Murray has played at least 41 minutes in every game. In Game 5, the Nuggets point guard played 42 minutes.
Murray was very aggressive on Tuesday, hoisting 27 shots from the field. He only hit 10 shots from the field and went 3-for-13 from three-point range and hit all five free throws. Nikola Jokic and Murray combined to take 52 of Denver’s 97 shots from the field and it should be no different in Game 6.
Jokic has faced extra attention, Michael Porter Jr. is struggling with a shoulder injury, Russell Westbrook is 6-for-27 from the field over the last three games and Denver is playing a small rotation. Denver has only use eight players the last two games and the reserves are getting few minutes.
If Denver is going to force a Game 7, Murray will likely need to come through. The minutes and volume will be there. It would be surprising if Murray doesn’t take at least 20 shots.
