Timberwolves vs. Thunder Prediction Game 2

Jalen Williams has struggled to shoot the ball in the postseason. After hitting 48.4% from the field in the regular season, the Thunder forward is shooting 43.6% from the field and 26.2% from three-point range in the postseason. While Williams scored 19 points in Game 1, he shot 7-for-18 from the field. Despite the struggles, Williams has contributed in other ways.

Williams has played well defensively, been a force on the boards and been a good playmaker. In the playoffs, Williams is averaging 5.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists. In Game 1, Williams had eight rebounds and five assists on 11 rebound chances and eight potential assists. He has at least 12 rebounds+assists in four consecutive games and has at least 11 rebounds+assists in nine of 12 postseason games.

In the regular season against the Timberwolves, Williams had six rebounds and six assists, three rebounds and nine assists, three rebounds and five assists and seven rebounds and seven assists to go over his prop line on Thursday of 10.5 RA three times. He had 25, 17, 13 and 30 rebound chances+potential assists in those games.

Williams runs the offense when Gilgeous-Alexander is off the floor. The Thunder also went small in Game 1 with Williams at the five, allowing more rebound chances, especially with Minnesota taking so many three-point shots. The small ball lineup also puts more three-point shooters on the floor. The good thing is Williams can dominate either category. He has at least six rebounds in six of the 12 playoff games and at least five assists in 10 games.
