Pacers vs. Knicks Prediction Game 2
Karl-Anthony Towns is a matchup problem for the Pacers. Myles Turner has struggled to defend Towns, and the Knicks center has exploited Indiana this season as a result. In Game 1, Towns scored 35 points with 12 rebounds and two assists, with 33 points coming in regulation. He shot 11-for-17 from the field and shot 4-for-8 from three-point range. Towns hit three three-pointers in the six-game series against the Celtics.
Towns went 9 of 11 from the free-throw line and had 27 attempts in three games during the regular season. Towns scored 21 points in 32 minutes, 30 points in 39 minutes, and 40 points in 38 minutes in the regular season against Indiana.
In the last five games against the Pacers, Towns is averaging 35.2 points, scoring at least 30 points in three. Towns has at least eight free throw attempts in each game against the Pacers this season, and he shoots 82.9% from the foul line.
Towns has averaged 27.8 points against the Pacers in 18 games. It should be a game with huge minutes for Towns with the Knicks needing a win. He played 39 minutes in Game 1 and will be in that area as long as he can stay out of foul trouble.
