After blowing Game 1 at Madison Square Garden against the Pacers, the Knicks couldn’t answer in the next game. The Pacers opened their second consecutive series by going on the road and winning both games after a 114-109 win over the Knicks on Friday night.
Indiana returns home for Game 3 on Sunday night in the Eastern Conference Finals with a chance to take a 3-0 lead. Pascal Siakam dominated with 39 points, five rebounds and three assists and six players scored in double-digits. The Knicks will try to make history since no team that lost the first two games at home has come back to win in a Conference Finals.
After winning the first two games in each of the previous two series, the Pacers lost Game 3 by 16 to the Bucks and 22 to the Cavaliers. The Knicks have been better on the road in the postseason, going 5-1 on the road and 3-5 at home.

Knicks vs. Pacers Game 3 Prediction
Tyrese Haliburton can impact the game in a variety of ways. The Pacers point guard was aggressive with his shooting in Game 1, shooting 12-for-23 from the field and scored 31 points in 42 minutes in a 138-135 win in overtime.
The Knicks changed the way they guarded him in Game 2 and Haliburton didn’t shoot as much, taking 16 shots from the field. The constant in each game was him setting up the offense, having the ball in his hands often and making a lot of passes. He had 11 assists in each game with 20 potential assists in Game 1 and 15 potential assists in Game 2.
Haliburton has also seen a good opportunity on rebounds as he’s often near the basket and in a good spot to get one. In each game, he has had 10 rebound chances, grabbing four rebounds in Game 1 and eight the next game.
When playing at least 32 minutes in the postseason, Haliburton has at least 14 rebounds+assists in nine of 10 games. The Knicks defense has struggled to slow down the Pacers’ offense and they have shot well during the postseason.
The Pacers shot 51% from the field in Game 1 and 51.8% in Game 2 and will be home where role players tend to shoot better. Haliburton has taken advantage of the Knicks defense on the pick and roll to set up teammates for open shots.
