Knicks vs. Pacers Game 4 Prediction
The Knicks made a change to the starting lineup in Game 3 after the defense couldn’t slow down Indiana in the first two games. Josh Hart came off the bench and Mitchell Robinson was inserted into the starting lineup. The Pacers shot more than 50% from the field in the first two games and shot 44.2% in Game 3 and played at a slower pace.
Robinson was made a starter to help the defense. New York has struggled to stop the Pacers with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns on the floor together. Robinson doesn’t contribute much offensively and gets most of his stats on rebounds or putbacks. Boston consistently fouled Robinson intentionally and he shot 45.2% from the free-throw line. Indiana hasn't been using that strategy.
In Game 1, Robinson played 21 minutes and had two points, eight rebounds and one assist. The next game he played 29 minutes and had six points and nine rebounds. He played the same amount of minutes in Game 3 while starting and had six points, six rebounds and one assist. In the three games, the Knicks center has taken eight shots from the field and gone 2-for-6 from the foul line.
The points + rebounds + assists line is set at 15.5, and Robinson has gone under in each game of the series and has gone under in 15 of the last 18 games. In 26.3 minutes in the series, Robinson is averaging 4.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists. If the Knicks are trailing late, they will need more offense on the floor and it could cut into Robinson’s minutes.
