Thunder vs. Pacers Same-Game Parlay: Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC Tie NBA Finals Series in Game 4?

The Indiana Pacers continue to defy odds after earning a win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Pacers needed another fourth-quarter comeback to survive at home and are now 2-1 in the NBA Finals.

At home, Indiana shot nearly 52% from the field and won, despite hitting only nine three-pointers and earning eight fewer foul shot attempts.

The key to the win was the team's ability to limit turnovers. The Thunder typically dominate the turnover battle. However, in Game 3, the Pacers turned the ball over five times fewer and added seven more points off turnovers.

The Pacers aren't always known for their defense. But Indiana earned 11 blocks and 13 steals, while holding Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to only 24 points on 9-for-20 from the field. The Pacers stuck to their game plan and made it hard on SGA.

Now they're two wins away from an NBA Championship.

That said, here's a same-game parlay for Game 4 of the NBA Finals matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers.

Thunder vs. Pacers Game 4 Same-Game Parlay

Leg 1: Thunder -6 (-112)

The Thunder are still the more complete team. They've led for most of this series, but just aren't finishing games strong.

Ultimately, Oklahoma City has scored 117.2 points per 100 possessions in the playoffs. They've also committed only 11.3% of turnovers. That said, Oklahoma City turned the ball over 19 times on the road in Game 3 and finished the game with only 107 points scored. That's uncharacteristic for the Thunder.

The Pacers play a fast-paced brand of basketball and typically give up a lot of points to their opponents. The Thunder just haven't been able to take advantage consistently. But with a pivotal Game 4 matchup, look for the Thunder to make adjustments and add a convincing win in Game 4, just like they did in Game 2 of this series.

Leg 2: Under 225.5 (-112)

Let's not forget that the Oklahoma City Thunder have the best defense in the NBA. The analytics prove it. However, the eye test also reveals this. They communicate well and have allowed only 107.1 points per 100 possessions in the playoffs.

They've also forced 18.1% of turnovers per game in the postseason and have limited teams to a 51.2% effective field goal percentage.

They didn't play well defensively against the Pacers in Game 3. But the high turnovers likely didn't help their case. If the Thunder can limit their turnovers in Game 4, they'll be better prepared defensively and secure more stops.

That would help the Under hit.

Leg 3: Obi Toppin Over 1.5 Threes (+118)

The Thunder can win, and the under can hit, even with Obi Toppin draining two threes. He's added at least two threes in two of the last four games. He even had five against the Thunder in Game 1 of this series.

Toppin saw a series-high 27.8 minutes in Game 3 for Indiana. He's also averaged a usage percentage of nearly 21% over the last 10 games.

In addition, Toppin has taken at least four threes in five consecutive games. Earlier in the postseason, Toppin wasn't hitting from three-point range consistently. However, he's been much better over the last five games, despite not making a three in Game 3.

The chances will be there if he plays 25 minutes or more. Plus, Oklahoma City ranks 25th in three-pointers made by power forwards this season. Power forwards have consistently been able to get a high volume of three-point shots up against the Thunder throughout the season. Toppin should be able to take advantage. I love this play at +118 odds.

Pacers vs. Thunder Same-Game Parlay (+661) (Bet $100 to Collect $761)

  • Leg 1: Thunder -6 (-112)
  • Leg 2: Under 225.5 (-112)
  • Leg 3: Obi Toppin Over 1.5 Threes (+118)
