Thunder vs. Pacers Prediction: Can Pascal Siakam Save Pacers Season in NBA Finals Game 6?
The Thunder can become NBA champions with a road win at Indiana on Thursday night. Oklahoma City won its second consecutive game on Monday to take a 3-2 lead in the series. It was the first time the Pacers lost consecutive games since early March.
Jalen Williams had one of the best games of his career with 40 points, six rebounds and four assists. He became the ninth player in NBA history to score 40 points in an NBA Finals under the age of 25. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 points and 10 assists.
The Thunder’s defense has been a strength all season, and it showed up in the most crucial game. OKC forced 23 turnovers and turned it into 32 points. The big question for the Pacers is the health of Tyrese Haliburton. He’s dealing with a calf injury and tried to play through it last game, but it didn’t work. Haliburton had four points, seven rebounds and six assists, and was 0-for-6 from the field. The Pacers are 7-3 at home in the playoffs.

Pacers vs. Thunder Game 6 Prediction
The Thunder have done a good job all postseason of limiting the top players on the opposition. Tyrese Haliburton is averaging 3.6 points per game less than he did in the regular season. Anthony Edwards averaged 4.6 less points against the Thunder than he did in the regular season. Pascal Siakam has averaged 0.4 points more in the series compared to the regular season.
Siakam has a mismatch every time against the Thunder and he has taken advantage of it. While the Pacers look to be in a bad spot, especially with Tyrese Haliburton dealing with a calf injury, they have shown all postseason they won’t go out easily. Even in Game 5 when it appeared the Thunder would pull away, the Pacers closed the deficit to two points.
If the Pacers have a chance to stay in this game, a big game will be needed from Siakam. The Pacers forward has come through most of the series. He has been scoring in the paint consistently, which isn’t easy to do against the Thunder. He’s been aggressive and getting to the foul line with at least six attempts in every game.
Siakam has scored 21, 20 and 28 points in the last three games. Even if Haliburton plays, he’s unlikely to be effective. If he doesn’t play, the Pacers will lean on Siakam even more. He has taken more three-pointers over the last two games, shooting 2-for-6 and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc after shooting 2 of 8 in the first three games.
