Wizards vs. Jazz Prediction
The Jazz have the early momentum because Peterson already delivered a huge scoring debut and Utah went 3-0 in Salt Lake City. Utah also has Ace Bailey, Max Abmas, Cody Williams, Jaxon Kohler and Blake Hinson, giving the Jazz a loaded young roster with enough shot creation and wing size to justify the favorite role.
Washington’s counter is depth. Dybantsa is the top storyline, but the Wizards also bring Felix Okpara, Seth Trimble, Reece Beekman, Tre Johnson, Will Riley, Jamir Watkins and Julian Reese. Okpara’s rim protection, Beekman’s defensive guard play and Trimble’s physicality give Washington more ways to stay connected if the game gets messy.
The handicap comes down to whether Utah’s prior reps matter more than Washington’s roster quality. The Jazz have chemistry and a live star in Peterson, but Washington has enough two-way pieces to slow the game down and make Dybantsa’s debut competitive. Getting the bucket and a half with the deeper underdog is the right side.

Washington is the side because the Wizards have the depth to match Utah’s early rhythm and enough defensive versatility to make Peterson work. Dybantsa is the headline, but Okpara, Beekman, Trimble and the returning young wings give Washington multiple ways to stay attached in what should be the most competitive game of the night.
