Raptors vs. Heat Prediction, Best Bet, Latest NBA Summer League Odds - Thursday, July 16th

Brooklyn Nets vs. Houston Rockets odds have Brooklyn favored by 3.5 on Thursday, July 16, in NBA Summer League action on ESPNU. Both teams enter with only one loss, but the under is the strongest angle with Brooklyn leading Summer League in points allowed and Houston also ranking near the top defensively.

Raptors vs. Heat Prediction: Can Seth Lundy, Raptors Stay Hot Down Stretch in Summer League?

The Toronto Raptors face the Miami Heat on Thursday, July 16, at 9 PM ET on ESPN2 in Las Vegas. Toronto is a 2.5-point favorite, and the market is leaning toward a Raptors team that has been more consistent, deeper and more reliable through the first week of Summer League.

Miami opened with a 119-86 blowout win over Milwaukee, getting 19 points apiece from Ryan Conwell and Jahmir Young while shooting 51.9% from the field and 41.9% from 3-point range. Since then, the Heat have lost momentum, and Conwell has now been shut down for the rest of Summer League after the staff saw enough from him over the first two weeks.

That matters because Conwell was one of Miami’s cleanest scoring options. He gave the Heat spacing, shot-making and a guard who could create enough off movement to keep the offense flowing. Without him, Miami leans more heavily on Young, Vladislav Goldin, Trevor Keels and the rest of a group that has not looked nearly as sharp since the opener.

Raptors vs. Heat Prediction

Toronto’s Summer League profile is stronger. The Raptors lost their opener to Boston in overtime, 83-80, but followed that with a 102-89 win over Houston and a 94-93 win over Indiana. That makes them one overtime result away from being undefeated, and the broader numbers back it up: Toronto has been one of the only teams in Las Vegas averaging at least 42 rebounds and 20 assists per game while also producing strong steal and block totals.

Seth Lundy has been the breakout piece for the Raptors. He scored 23 points with six made 3s against Houston, then followed with 22 points and the game-saving block against Indiana. Lundy entered Summer League trying to force his way into the roster conversation, and his shooting, activity and late-game defensive play have made him Toronto’s most important surprise contributor.

The Raptors have also done this without a fully loaded summer roster. Collin Murray-Boyles and Alijah Martin have been sidelined, but Toronto has still gotten enough from Nate Bittle, Allen Graves, Jamarion Sharp, Chuck Hepburn and Tyreke Key to build a positive record. That depth is the reason Toronto can survive stretches when Lundy is not carrying the offense.

Miami still has enough physicality to keep this competitive, especially if Young gets downhill and Goldin controls minutes around the rim. But the Heat’s trajectory is not as clean after the Milwaukee win, and losing Conwell removes one of their easiest offensive pressure points. Toronto has the better current form, the more balanced production and the stronger late-game profile.

Raptors vs. Heat Best Bet

Toronto is the play because the number remains manageable at -2.5. The Raptors have shown more consistency across multiple games, Lundy is playing his way into real roster consideration, and Miami’s early explosion against Milwaukee looks more like an outlier than a sustainable baseline.
