Boeheim’s Army faces Hall In on Tuesday, July 21, at 7 PM ET on FS1 in the opening game of their best-of-three Alumni Bracket series. The Syracuse alumni are favored by 6.5 points at -105 and priced at -280 on the moneyline, while Hall In is +6.5 at -115 and +220 to win outright. The total is set at 147.5.
Boeheim’s Army entered the 2025 tournament as a No. 1 seed and opened with a dominant 97-71 victory before suffering an 81-78 upset against We Are D3 in the Round of 32. That disappointment came after the Syracuse alumni had led by double digits, but the program still carries one of TBT’s strongest histories, including its championship run in 2021. Hall In, meanwhile, is returning to the tournament for the first time since going 1-1 in 2018.

Boeheim's Army vs. Hall In Prediction
Buddy Boeheim returns as the centerpiece after averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists across two games last summer while shooting 12-of-19 from beyond the arc. Elijah Hughes also returns after finishing second on the team in scoring, while Jimmy Boeheim and Cole Swider provide additional size and shooting. The roster becomes even more dangerous with Tyson Walker, JaCorey Williams and Ty Nichols, who scored 36 points while eliminating Boeheim’s Army last year before joining them for this tournament.
Hall In will lean heavily on Isaiah Whitehead, who averaged 14.3 points, nearly eight rebounds and four assists during last year’s tournament with the UConn alumni team. Al-Amir Dawes offers another capable perimeter scorer, while KC Ndefo, Darnell Brodie and 7-foot-2 Romaro Gill give the Seton Hall alumni considerable length around the basket. Myles Cale will not join the roster until Game 2, however, leaving Hall In without one of its more dependable two-way options for the series opener.
Hall In’s path is to slow the game, protect the paint and force Boeheim’s Army into difficult perimeter attempts. That strategy can keep the matchup competitive early, but Syracuse has far more shooting and individual creation than a typical TBT opponent. Buddy Boeheim, Hughes, Walker and Nichols can all generate offense, while Williams adds an interior option after averaging 26.5 points and 10.5 rebounds for Herd That last summer.

The 6.5-point spread is manageable for a Boeheim’s Army roster with championship experience, greater depth and multiple players capable of taking over offensively. Hall In should bring energy in front of its home crowd, but missing Cale places even more pressure on Whitehead and Dawes to create nearly everything. Syracuse’s shooting and experience should eventually produce separation and a comfortable opening victory.
