Wisconsin vs. Iowa Prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes vs. the Wisconsin Badgers will clash from Madison, Wisconsin, on Wednesday night for a Big Ten affair. The Hawkeyes enter this game supporting an overall record of 17-10 on the season. Iowa has been led by Kris Murray, who is the older brother of former Hawkeyes star Keegan Murray. Murray has turned in an outstanding season leading the team in scoring with 20.7 points per game. In typical Fran McCaffery fashion, Iowa is a team that prides itself on the offensive side of the basketball. Iowa comes into play averaging 80.3 points per game.

The Badgers, meanwhile, pride themselves on the defensive side of the basketball. Wisconsin allows just 63.2 points per game; the Badgers' issue has been their offense at times this season, as they average just 64.7 points per game as a team. Sophomore guard Chucky Hepburn has been their best offensive threat leading the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game. Iowa will be a tournament team no matter what happens the rest of the way, but they can play themselves up to a higher seed with a strong finish. The Badgers, meanwhile, are currently seen as a bubble team. Iowa comes into this game tonight as a one-point favorite.

I am going to back Iowa on the money line tonight. This is an Iowa line all the way, and I would be surprised if the Badgers swept the season series from Iowa. The Hawkeyes are coming off of a tough loss on Sunday, and this feels like a solid bounce-back spot for them on the road tonight. If Iowa can establish their pace early and turn the pace of this game up, I believe that they can roll tonight, facing a Wisconsin team that struggles to play from behind. Let’s keep rolling and cash in!
