After putting up 108 points against Southern the other day, it’s clear they have found some decent replacements for Mike Miles Jr. and Damian Baugh. Will we see this offense shine once again tonight against another mid-major?

Omaha vs. TCU Prediction
The Horned Frogs put up a 108-piece against Southern earlier this week. The offense was led by transfer guards Jameer Nelson Jr. and Avery Anderson II from Delaware and Oklahoma State. They had seven players score 9+ points, with everyone chipping in. This TCU team might’ve lost two stars from last season, but they’re replaced them with two guards who might just be better.
For the first time in years, this TCU team won’t be atrocious at shooting. They’ve finally got some guys who can shoot the ball, and it showed earlier this week against Southern. Jameer Nelson Jr. was one of the best mid-major players in the country last season, averaging over 20 ppg. He should dominate this underwhelming Omaha backcourt all night.
Say what you want about Omaha, but they can score. I was high on this team last year, but the Mavericks were ravaged by a ton of injuries in Chris Crutchfield’s first season as the head coach. The good thing about this team is that they return the majority of their squad back from last season, when they were one of the youngest teams in college basketball.
We saw an uptick in efficiency in the Mavericks’ first game of the season where they dropped a whopping 85 points. Everybody played, and everyone contributed. This team is deep and their offense should be even better in year two of Crutchfield’s regime.
Although Omaha might be able to score against TCU’s lack-luster defense, they won’t be able to keep up with these new TCU guards. Nelson and Anderson are going to have a field-day against this small Omaha backcourt tonight. If Omaha can drop 50 points tonight, which they are more than capable of after dropping 85 in their first game, TCU will carry this total over themselves with another 100-piece. Bet the over and enjoy what should be an offensive shootout.
