Both Gonzaga and UCLA lost the majority of their production from last year. They reloaded their rosters in the transfer portal, but both elite programs have already lost a game this season. Will Graham Ike dominate once again for the Zags, or will Adem Bona lock him up in the paint for the Bruins?

Gonzaga vs. UCLA Prediction
This is contest between Gonzaga and UCLA is your typical battle of offense vs defense. Gonzaga has some great offensive options this season in Ryan Nembhard and Graham Ike, but this will be the best defense they’ve faced so far this season.
Adem Bona might be the best defender in the country. We’ve seen Ike struggle against physical bigs at Wyoming in years past against guys like Mensah at SDSU. Bona will give Ike fits like Mensah did for years in the Mountain West.
UCLA’s only loss this season was to Marquette by two points. The Golden Eagles have debatably looked like the best team in the country this season. Gonzaga got manhandled by Purdue in their only loss this year, where Ike struggle to produce in the paint against Edey. If Ike can’t score on Eden, he is going to have a tough time scoring against Bona tonight.
Gonzaga has beaten Mick Cronin and the Bruins all three times they’ve played them in his tenure. You don’t think Cronin has revenge in his mind? UCLA has looked sharper so far this year and excels on the defensive side of the court. That’s the team I want my hard-earned money on. Fade the Zags and back UCLA with the points in what I’m expecting to be a one-possession game.
