USC vs. Colorado Prediction
USC has been a little underwhelming to start off this year. They are 8-8 and currently 6th in the Pac 12 to this early season. USC also just lost one of their best players in Isaiah Collier, who averaged 15.4 PPG and led the team in assists with 4.1. Boogie Ellis is going to need to step up in Collier's absence, along with guards Kobe Johnson and Bronny James. USC shoots the three ball pretty well, as they average 8.6 3's per game making around 36% of those shots. This team is not very big, and get dominated on the glass, as that's where I see the difference in this game.
Colorado is a pretty solid rebounding team with big man Eddie Lampkin Jr. leading the way with 7.6 rebounds a game. The transfer from TCU has been a great addition to this team as he also averages almost 10 points per game. KJ Simpson has been very good this year putting up 19.9 PPG, and the absence of Collier is going to be massive for Simpson tonight. But let's not forget about Tristan da Silva. The senior has been a big part of this Colorado team the past three years, and has been even better this year. This Buffaloes team is solid, well rounded, and deep. They don't take a lot of 3-pointers, but when they do, it drops. They put up 81 PPG and are very efficient on the offensive end.
Colorado is a better team than USC so far thus year, and I like them especially at home tonight. This Colorado team should overwhelm USC tonight.
