This is one of the best Dayton teams I’ve ever witnessed. With only two losses, the Flyers are primed for another shot in the March Madness tournament in a few months. I will say… this is a massive letdown spot for the Flyers, as they will have to find the motivation to win this game against a struggling La Salle team before heading to Richmond on Saturday. Don’t be surprised if the Explorers keep this game closer than oddsmakers are predicting.
After a hot start to the season, La Salle has struggled in conference play. The Explorers are currently 1-4 in conference play; they will be the hungrier team on their home floor tonight. Dayton remains perfect in conference, with a matchup against undefeated (5-0 in A10 play) Richmond on Saturday.
The best player on the floor tonight will be Daron Holmes II on Dayton, but La Salle has plenty of guards that can keep up with Holmes. Khalil Brantley and Jhamir Brickus are two of La Salle’s top scorers; both are fully capable of keeping up with Holmes in the stat sheet.
This is a must-win game for La Salle. You are going to get maximum effort out of the Explorers on their home floor against a ranked conference opponent.
