Marist vs. Niagara Prediction
Niagara is coming off their best shooting performance of the season. They shot 12-18 from three against the Mount on Sunday. I’m willing to bet their offense won’t look as sharp against this underrated Marist defense.
Don’t let Jadin Collins and the Red Foxes get hot! After a great start to the season, Marist cooled off at the end of December, but the Red Foxes have won two of their last three games in January. Their defense that won them seven of their first nine games of the season has finally returned.
I’m not saying Marist is going to win this game, although I definitely lean that way. I do really like the under in this spot, especially after Niagara’s legacy performance against the Mount this past weekend. The Purple Eagles are 14-3-1 to the over on the season, regression is on the horizon…
Marist has a great matchup against the over-performing Purple Eagles tonight. This team wins with defense, and isn’t afraid to slow down the tempo. I’m fully expecting Marist to slow down this Niagara offense tonight, making them uncomfortable, and in turn, unsuccessful.
If Niagara was going to continue scoring nearly 80 PPG, this total wouldn’t have opened at 134.5. It certainly wouldn’t have dropped two full points with less than 32% of the bets currently backing the under. There’s a reason this total looks insanely low; Marist is going to control the pace in this game.
My favorite play on Friday’s limited slate is the under in this game. Bet it before it drops any lower; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
