The 14-6 Cincinnati Bearcats visit Morgantown, West Virginia, to take on the 7-13 West Virginia Mountaineers. The Bearcats are 3-4 in Big 12 play as the Mountaineers are 2-5 in conference play. This matchup will be a fun one as West Virginia looks to get back on track and make a final push in the conference standings.

Cincinnati vs West Virginia Prediction
Cincinnati has been looking solid thus far, although having a rough stretch in the past six games losing only winning two of those. With that being said, this is a perfect spot to get right and get the wheels back on the track against an underperforming West Virginia team. The Bearcats have four players who average in the points category who are in the double digits. One particularly that I think will have a big night tonight is John Newman III.
Newman is a spark and brings the energy to this Cincinnati team. Newman is averaging 10 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 1.5 SPG. Newman will not "take over" a game, but he will provide a major impact on both ends of the court, and that is why he is critical to this 14-6 Bearcat team. Newman has a great matchup tonight and has been playing very well in the past couple games, if he can show up tonight and provide big minutes, I think the Bearcats chances.
Cincinnati dominates on the glass averaging 38.1 RPG which is 12th best in the nation. West Virginia fails to rebound well, and this will be a big difference tonight. The Mountaineers are banking on the home-court advantage tonight to help spring them their third win in conference play, but I do not think that they are good even to close this one out. They do not shoot well, they do not rebound well, and their defense is below par.
I think that this game could be somewhat close in the first half as Cincinnati pulls out a run late and takes it to them. I like Cincinnati's chances tonight as they are by far the better team in this matchup and I think it shows tonight at the WVU Coliseum.
