The stock on this Kansas team hasn’t been as high as it currently is since they won the National Championship two years ago. The same cannot be said for Kansas State, who’s lost four games in a row. When these two rivals meet on Monday night, which team will come out victorious? More importantly, which team will cover?

Kansas is coming off their biggest win of the season. They just solidified that they are true title contenders once again with a big win against Houston. Like I said, the stock hasn’t been this high on the Jayhawks in a while. This is exactly when we want to fade this team…
Not a lot of people want to bet on this Kansas State team right now, and for good reason. Not only have they lost four games in a row, but some of those were inexcusable (like Oklahoma State and Oklahoma at home). My question is, if the Wildcats didn’t stand a chance tonight, why did they open up this short of an underdog after Kansas’ big win?
Oddsmakers are “tipping their hand” with this line. The public continues to hammer Kansas on the spread and moneyline, but the line hasn’t change much since the initial move to 4.5. It seems like the sportsbooks are content with being overexposed on Kansas tonight, which is a great sign for Kansas Sate backers.
We haven’t seen Kansas State look this bad in years. I’m willing to bet their struggle comes to an abrupt halt tonight with an opportunity to earn a first quarter win against their rival on Monday. Tylor Perry has started to look more comfortable since coming over from North Texas. The veteran point guard is coming off back-to-back 19+ point performances, and he has plenty of experience to thrive in this big spot for the Wildcats.
This is a typical “buy low, sell high” spot. The public is hammering Kansas after putting together two great performances at home, and nobody wants to bet on the Wildcats after four straight losses. Unfortunately, Kansas State is the right side in this contest. Bet on the Wildcats to keep this game within a couple buckets; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
