When I saw the spread for this game drop for the first time, I thought there was some sort of mistake. Not only is this Arizona team one of the best in the country, but they’ve already beaten the Buffs by nearly FIFTY points this year. You’re telling me Colorado is the betting favorite and they are catching steam?
Colorado looks like one of the sharpest college basketball plays of the season. I can’t wrap my head around the Buffs being a favorite in this spot, even if they are home. They literally lost 97-50 back in January, shooting 26% from the field.
Arizona might have one of the best rosters in the country, but Colorado can hang with anyone. They’ve got some future pros on their team as well, and KJ Simpson has been nearly unstoppable on offense at times this season.
As the spread continues to move towards the Buffs, that only makes me more confident in the home favorite in this spot. The public is all over Arizona, but the line movement indicates sharp action on Colorado. Fade the public and back the Buffs to get revenge after that blowout last month.
