Is it me, or has this Tennessee team yet to prove themselves as one of the elite teams in the country. I know they are ranked #6 in the AP Poll, but I feel like there is so much more to unlock with this team. Right now, Dalton Knecht is carrying this squad through SEC play. Will he be enough to defeat this scrappy Texas A&M team tonight, or will the Aggies catch them sleeping at home?

I’ve been watching the Buzz Williams/Tyrece Radford connection since I was at Virginia Tech back in 2020. They are one of my favorite duo’s to watch, but the real star of this Aggies team is Wade Taylor IV. This offense goes where Wade goes. The question is… will Wade play confident and aggressive tonight, or will he look timid down the stretch like he did against Florida when they almost blew the lead?
This Tennessee team isn’t nearly as physical as they were last season. Jonas Aidoo has been solid, but the Volunteers are clearly missing the pretense of Olivier Nkamhoua and Julian Phillips. Santiago Vescovi has yet to really get going, and people are wondering if he’s ever going to show up. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows for this Tennessee team.
This spread opened up at TENN -4 before the sharps steamed the Aggies back to nearly a Pick ‘Em on some books. Texas A&M is one of the sharpest sides of the day. They have the veteran leadership to slay a top-10 team at home.
Tyrece Radford has been a monster in his last two games, putting up a collective 48 points against Missouri and Florida. He should have every opportunity to drive on a banged-up Zakai Zeigler who’s still trying to get back to full strength after a torn ACL last year. It’s going to be the Radford show in College Station tonight.
Fade the squares and back the Aggies at home to not only cover in this game, but win. This is my sleeper pick to make a run in March Madness. They play defense, have a great coach, run a system that works, and have elite perimeter guard play. As this team inches closer to conference tournament season, don’t be shocked if you see the stock continue to rise for the Aggies.
